The new Cardwell Shire Council Web site has been developed with current Web standards in mind. Web standards are laid down by the World Wide Web Consortium to ensure that Web content is available to the widest possible audience. By adhering to W3C standards the CSC Web site will be useable by people regardless of which Web browser they use.

The new site also aims to follow the guidelines set down in Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 for accessibilty.
